On November 22, 2024, Hatchit Solutions was invited to participate in the “Internship Skill Matching” event hosted by Cebu Institute of Technology – University (CIT-U). Held at the CIT-U Case Room, the event brought together a diverse group of students eager to explore internship opportunities and learn more about potential employers in the tech industry.
Around five or six companies were invited to the event, and each had the chance to share their company background and recruitment opportunities. Hatchit was proud to be one of these companies, contributing to the event’s success and connecting with the next generation of tech professionals.
Representatives from Hatchit, including Melody, Rafael, and John Apas, had the chance to visit the university, share insights about the company, and interact with students seeking to kickstart their careers. Rafael gave an overview of Hatchit, explaining the company’s background and what Hatchit can offer to young professionals in the tech industry.
John Apas, a Software Engineer at Hatchit, shared his journey within the company. He spoke about his career growth, detailing the various projects he had worked on and how Hatchit’s nurturing environment supported his development as a software engineer. This insight into his career path gave students a glimpse of Hatchit’s possibilities.
Meanwhile, Melody, a Project Management Associate at Hatchit, also shared her experiences working with the company, offering a perspective on the project management side of tech solutions. Melody found it rewarding to be in a position to guide students, reflecting on her own time as a student when she was the one seeking opportunities.
The venue was packed with students eager to connect with prospective employers. Each company was given 10-15 minutes to introduce themselves and share their opportunities, followed by a segment dedicated to on-the-spot interviews. This allowed students to directly approach companies they were interested in and submit their resumes for potential internship positions.
The response to Hatchit Solutions was overwhelming, with a large number of students lining up to learn more about the company and express their interest in joining the team. Due to time constraints, Hatchit’s team was unable to conduct all the interviews on the spot, but they made sure to collect resumes from all interested candidates for follow-up.
The “Internship Skill Matching” event at CIT-U was a fantastic opportunity for Hatchit Solutions to showcase its work, engage with students, and contribute to the development of young talent. Hatchit is excited about the potential interns they met that day and looks forward to seeing where their careers will take them—hopefully, with Hatchit as part of their journey.
